02 Apr Spring into Summer!
This weekend was great. We had the opportunity to go to a Walter Productions event held at the Wherehouse. These events have quickly become a favorite of myself. The sheer scale, creativity, inclusiveness, and all around happiness is overwhelming. To get such a passionate group of artists and individuals of all walks of life, all sorts of skills and talents, to create a single magical night is truly something special. It cements what we already know, that Phoenix is a wonderfully diverse melting pot of art and culture!
We had the opportunity to go to McDowell Mountain Music festival. Its one of our favorite concerts of the year, not only because its so close to home (Go DTPHX!) but because I ALWAYSSSS leave having found at least one new band that I didn’t know I couldn’t live without. This year was no exception. Big Wild and Jungle were two bands I’ve never heard of that just brightened up the night and have both made it into the heavy rotation. I was excited to hear Nombe, a smaller group out of LA that we often stream here in the office. All in all its great to be able to walk from our front door straight into a killer music festival and right back home, all while supporting a great cause! I highly recommend checking it out of you’ve never been! Hance park is such a gem overall. Crescent Ballroom was put together a wonderful Sunday in the Park that filled downtown with music and craft beer. It was great to run into friends, patients, and puppies from our local community. We certainly hope to see more community events hosted in the park before the weather goes wild.
I have had my eye on a small French optical brand with limited release for some time now. It is the type of frame line that continually reinvents the wheel with new styles, unique shapes, and an overwhelming attention to detail from in house made acetates, hinges with spring loaded mechanism to forever keep tension on your temples, music inspired design elements all the way to children’s frames. Keep an eye out this spring for the big announcement!
I am happy to announce we that we continue to and have dramatically increased our patient load of keratoconic, post LASIK ectasia, and corneal abnormality patients as well as our scleral lens fitting practice. Through the use of specialty contact lenses we are able to restore vision in many patients with corneal abnormalities, difficult prescriptions, and genetic disorders. If you’ve been told you’re not a candidate for contact lenses in the past – schedule your exam today. From specialty lenses for the treatment of disease all the way to segmented bifocal gas permeable lenses – our possibilities are limitless and we would love the opportunity to get you back to seeing your best!
We continue to grow as practice, refine our craft, and mold our patient experience. We will continue to grow, to learn, and to educate. Together, with your feedback, we work to make healthcare feel a bit more palatable in todays landscape.
PS: We picked up a new piece of art this month, from a Phoenix native, artist Josh. Bask. It takes somebody special to create a piece that continually sparks joy and makes you appreciate life each and every time you walk by. Cheers!
