13 Sep Is it fall yet?
It’s been such a great month so far and it’s only going to get better! We started the month seeing Jack White @ Comerica followed by Andrew WK @ Crescent and NIN tonight, again at Comerica. Scored some sweet pit pickets off Stubhub. One of my favorite parts about living downtown is the constant stream of bands rolling through, especially summertime with all the tours. Close enough to walk from home and slightly slower at work leaving plenty of time to enjoy myself. Now that we’ve past out one year and we’ve got a routine going on I am finally able to carve out some extra time for myself and family which has been fantastic. Bisbee is his typlical crazy self while Barkley has been spending lots of time at daycare as it may be his most favorite place in the world. Our nightly walks do them well but I can’t compete with a cohort of dogs and kiddie pool. I am very excite to be attending Life is Beautiful in Vegas towards the end of the month to break up the end of summer. Nothing like a short escape full of music and art.
We are planning a trip to Vision Expo West this year to check out what’s new across the optical industry. I am excited to pick up a few more brands to replace what we have discontinued over the course of the year. It will be nice to get hands on experience and have a massive selection so we can keep our selection unique, well built, and continue to provide great value. We’ve got our eyes in a few different brands from around the world including Japanese titanium, swiss designs, and possibly even some rimless options.
It’s been great watching the practice grow as we begin doing our first year recalls. We’re working to make the process as painless and easy as possible to pop back in for your yearly exam. We’ve been receiving plenty of new FW styles from both Modo and Etnia Barcelona as the temperatures cool down. We’re liquidating our stock of Sunday Somewhere at 30% already reduced prices.
